Simon joined Nylacast Automotive in 2016 as Managing Director and in this role he leads a highly skilled International team of over 250 personnel and oversees global manufacturing operations, technical centres and commercial functions.He began his Automotive career in 1983 and has over 25 years’ experience within the Tier 1 supply base serving in various positions of increasing responsibility including: Application Engineering, Technical Sales, Manufacturing Operations, Commercial, Business Development and General Management. Over the past 10 years he has worked at Board level with P&L responsibility. Prior to joining Nylacast, Simon worked with GKN, Metaldyne (now American Axle), Pechiney (now Rio Tinto) and SKF. Simon holds a 1st Class Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering and is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer. He is a French speaker and has extensive International experience successfully developing businesses in all Continents and has lived and worked in both Europe and North America.

Bruce joined Nylacast Automotive China in 2015 as Operations Director. In this role he is responsible for the operations and business development in China. Bruce has over 10 years experience within the Automotive industry and has over 20 years experience with Quality Management, Operations Management Lean Manufacturing, having successfully led many improvement projects in his past career. He holds a material engineering degree, and he is MBA and Six Sigma Black belt qualified. Prior to joining Nylacast, Bruce worked with TPI (US), ExxonMobil and Ball Injection moulding.

Pete joined Nylacast at the beginning of 2003 as Production Manager. With extensive knowledge of the Nylacast Automotive products and quality control, Pete was promoted to Operations Director in 2020 where he is responsible for managing all elements of production and operation within the UK. He has gained qualifications including a HND in mechanical Engineering. Pete has 27 years’ experience in Automotive engineering, with previous roles at Voestalpine Elmsteel Group Ltd.

Andrzej Glabek is currently General Manager at Nylacast Automotive Poland, bringing over 20 years of experience in manufacturing and quality management. His career began at KLINGSPOR AG (2003–2014) where he held various roles including Head of the Quality Department. He subsequently joined Bodycote plc (2014–2024), serving as SHE & Quality Manager for Poland (2014–2022) and later as Quality Manager for Poland, Czech-Republic and Slovakia (2022–2024). Since joining Nylacast Automotive in June 2024 as Quality Manager Poland, he was promoted to General Manager in December 2024. He holds an engineering degree in Mechanics and Machine Design; Combustion Engines, an MBA, and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.

Carlos N. V. Barbosa is the Global R&D+I(Research & Development and Innovation) Manager, leading Research and Innovation activities globally (UK, China, and Poland) while co-supervising major projects such as Technology Transfer of Polymer Casting Operations. With 15+ years of experience in the automotive industry, he has worked across OEMs (JLR, Ford), Tier 1 (Bosch), and Tier 2 (Nylacast, among others), specializing in international and inter-organisational project management. His leadership extends to worldwide cross-functional teams, collaborating with operations, engineering, production, quality, marketing, finance, and customer business development. Dr. Carlos Barbosa holds an Industrial PhD in Engineering Design & Advanced Manufacturing, a collaborative program involving Ford (Germany), MIT (USA), and UMinho (Portugal), and an Industrial Master’s in Polymer Engineering & Science, completed with Altachem (Belgium) and UMinho. A recognized expert in polymer science, he has authored peer-reviewed publications, presented at international conferences, and co-invented a patent. Beyond his industry roles, he has supervised two master’s theses and provided extensive technical consultancy on polymer-related topics, bridging academia and industrial innovation. His multidisciplinary expertise is continuously driving advancements in polymer applications for the automotive sector.

Annie Huang serves as Technical Sales Manager at Nylacast Automotive since July 2022, bringing over 15 years of extensive experience in Automotive sales and application markets. She possesses an in-depth understanding of China’s unique automotive market characteristics and customer needs, having successfully established long-term strategic client partnerships. She holds an MBA from Tongji University and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Anhui University, consistently driving business growth and team collaboration through her leadership traits of authenticity, optimism, resilience, and collaborative spirit.
