Nylacast Automotive has reached a significant milestone in becoming a Full-Service Supplier (FSS). This transformation reflects the company’s successful evolution from a traditional make-to-print organisation to a provider of complete engineering solutions. As an FSS, Nylacast Automotive can take initial Customer requirements and transform them into fully validated, safety-critical gear train systems for Electric Power Steering (EPS), Braking applications and more ...

Application Engineering: Advanced Analysis & Validation
Our Application Engineering team uses simulation tools such as KISSsoft and Ansys, along with design guidelines including VDI 2736 and Finite Element Analysis (FEA), to carry out advanced analyses through to design reviews and optimization and validation to deliver robust design concepts and validated solutions. This capability is further strengthened through the close collaboration with NN Inc., particularly where complete gear train solutions are required.
Complete Gear Train Collaboration: Complementary Strengths with NN Inc.
Together, we complete worm wheel and worm shaft designs, tooth/meshing design, and NVH optimization. Nylacast provides polymer technology, while NN Inc. provides the precision machining of worm shafts, output shafts and much more.
Dedicated Sample Cell: Rapid Sample Development & Production Representative Solutions
Nylacast has invested millions in a dedicated Sample Cell for rapid product development. The facility manufactures sample components, prototypes, and test specimens at industry-leading speed, using 3D printing and rapid manufacturing technologies and serial production equipment to produce parts that are fully representative of high-volume production.
Multi-Year Investment: People, Engineering, Materials, Testing & Capacity
This is part of a multi-year investment programme covering people, engineering, material development, testing, equipment and production capability.
Durability Test Rig (DTR): Validation with Customer-Defined Algorithms
Prototype and development components can be evaluated using our Durability Test Rig (DTR). The DTR uses Customer-defined input algorithms to fully replicate Customer testing conditions and can operate across a wide temperature range, from sub-zero to above boiling point. Customers can witness testing on-site, ensuring full alignment on methods, criteria and results.

We thank our Customers for their continued support and collaboration. Today, new technologies and programmes can be delivered with accelerated development timelines while maintaining the precision, quality and reliability required for safety-critical applications.
